About Eudigo and methodology
Eudigo is an independent knowledge platform and EU-wide index for the European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI Wallet): which wallets exist, who must accept them, how relying parties register – and, from 24 December 2026, what the 27 registers contain.
Who is behind it
Eudigo is operated by NEOSTRATUM Technologies GmbH in Bingen am Rhein, Germany; the managing director is Marten Jung. Eudigo is not an official service of the EU, the German government or any authority and is not affiliated with any wallet provider.
The operator plans its own services around registration and certificates. On Eudigo they are always labelled as services of NEOSTRATUM Technologies GmbH and kept separate from the information service. The index, data and articles do not favour any provider.
How we work
- Every statement on obligations, deadlines and registers has a source with an access date, preferably the legal text or an official body.
- We label deadlines as confirmed (stated in the legal text), calculated (derived from the regulation) or announced. Every date is checked in two independent passes.
- Anything we cannot fully verify is visibly marked “unverified” in the text.
- Research, writing and updates are done with the help of AI (Claude by Anthropic) and checked against the sources; the operator holds editorial responsibility.
- We correct errors openly: the index keeps a dated history, and reclassifications are labelled as such.
How the EUDI Index classifies
- Certified: listed by the Commission as a certified EUDI Wallet.
- Precursor live: a government app with digital ID documents is in operation, and an official source states explicitly that it will become the EUDI Wallet.
- Pilot: the national wallet is being tested with real citizens or a public test version exists. Taking part in EU large-scale pilots or business sandboxes does not count.
- Upgrade confirmed: the upgrade of an existing app is officially confirmed, but it does not yet offer ID documents.
- Announced: project known, but no public app.
- Unclear: no reliable official information.
The registry tracker is based on our own daily retrieval of every registry API. We store the responses unchanged, including errors and outages, and publish only analyses – never individual entries containing personal data.
